Celebrate Love Your Maine Trails Month with the Katahdin Tourism Partnership on June 10th 2023 East Branch of the Penobscot River Trail at Grindstone Falls Sponsored by the Katahdin Tourism Partnership Do you love walking, biking and skiing along our trails up here? Did you know they needed care and maintenance and many are not connected to a town but are found in Unorganized Territory? Please consider joining us. Meet at Grindstone Picnic Area on route 11 along the Katahdin Woods and Waters National Scenic ByWay. 9 am till 12 noonish Wear long pants , long sleeved shirt, hat, gloves sturdy shoes , bring a personal water bottle Snacks and beverages , bug dope, loppers and extra head nets provided by Elliotsville Foundation Inc We will be just cleaning up a trail from winter deadfall and if you would like, bring a bike and a pack lunch and ride or hike in the afternoon at Penobscot River Trails .
