Thursday July 4th: Parade, themed ‘Small Town, Big Spirit’: 9:30am lineup, 10am start at Northern Shopping Plaza, down Central St., then left on Penobscot Ave. Floats will be judged for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place ribbons! Children’s Parade: 10am lineup, 10:30am start at Bangor Savings Bank, down Penobscot Ave. Walk your pet on leash, ride your bike, skateboard or scooter. Don’t forget your helmet! Children under 10 should be accompanied by a teen or adult. Vendor Fair: 10am‑8pm in Veterans Memorial Park DJ Frank Manzo: 10am‑8pm in Veterans Memorial Park Whoopie Pie Bake Off: Contestants must register no later than July 3rd. A baker’s dozen (13) must be delivered to Veterans Memorial Park by 12:45pm, with any allergens labeled (nuts, coconut, peanut butter). Public vote begins at 1pm. $3 to vote, proceeds go to the Town of Millinocket Scholarship Fund. Winner announced around 1:20pm. $100 cash prize for the most votes! Friday July 5th: Vendor Fair: 10am‑8pm in Veterans Memorial Park DJ Frank Manzo: 10am‑8pm in Veterans Memorial Park Tickles the Clown: Strolling magic and balloon animals in Veterans Memorial Park, Live shows at 11am and 2pm. Bike Rodeo: 12pm‑2pm in Veterans Memorial Park. Special appearance from Sparky the Fire Dog. This event teaches children about Maine bicycle laws and safety skills. Wear a helmet! Fireworks at dusk Saturday July 6th: Millinocket Farmers’ and Artisans’ Market: 9am‑2pm, grand opening for the season in Veteran’s Memorial Park! Bandstand Jams: 5pm‑8pm, Marionette, Aroostook County’s premier party band ‑ playing rock and pop hits!
