Description
Dear Stream Smart workshop participant or other interested party, Maine Audubon is reaching out to you as a past attendee of a Stream Smart workshop or because you expressed interest in attending a workshop on Stream Smart. We will be holding a two-day Stream Smart Phase II field workshop at the Baxter State Park Headquarters in Millinocket on October 2nd and 3rd from 8:30am-3:30pm and are hoping you will attend and/or can help us spread the word! If you know other road professionals who might find this training helpful in their work, we would appreciate any additional outreach you can provide. Workshop participants are expected to have some stream survey experience and work directly on road projects in such positions as forestry manager, municipal public works manager, civil engineer, surveyor, or natural resource agency staff. To register for the workshop, please visit our registration page at: https://maineaudubon.org/events/2-day-stream-smart-phase-ii-workshop-in-millinocket/ . Participants in this workshop will also receive recertification credit for the Maine Department of Environmental Protection, Voluntary Contractor Certification Program and may be eligible for Forester or Engineering Continuing Education Units (CEUs). Attendance at both days of the workshop is required. Please feel free to share this announcement with colleagues, post the flyer (which you can download from the link above) in your offices or public spaces, and share with any additional contacts you may have. We appreciate your help in spreading the word on this workshop, and we look forward to seeing you or your colleagues at this or a future Stream Smart workshop. Thank you for your help in connecting Maine’s fish and wildlife habitat and in making Maine’s road-stream crossings safer and longer-lasting!
